Whitney Adams

Sommelier // Writer // YouTube Personality // Wine Accessorizer

Whitney is a sommelier, writer, blogger, and entrepreneur living in Los Angeles. After a three-month trip to Italy, which included numerous amazing glasses of wine, her heart was filled with vino. Whitney then solidified her obsession with the grape by becoming a certified sommelier and began working at several wine shops and Italian restaurants around LA. Recently, she's donned another hat as the creator and owner of Bottle Stock, a line of unique and stylish wine accessories. She continues to love all things Italy, wines made with care, and believes a perfect Negroni, like time, can heal all wounds.

What do you love most about your job?

Drinking a ton of amazing wine. I mean, right? And traveling. I’ve had an insatiable thirst for travel since childhood, and working in wine is a great excuse to see the world.

What’s your favorite place to eat, drink, or play?

Cortez in Echo Park, LA.

If you were throwing a dinner party and could invite anyone, who would it be?

Barbra Streisand and my mom.

Who’s your palate icon?

Eric Asimov. I’ve always found his writing enjoyable, informative, and relatable, and his palate adept and honest.

Who or what do you consider your biggest influence?

My colleagues. There are some amazing female sommeliers in New York right now who are killing it. Pascaline Lepeltier and Carla Rzeszewski are two amazing ladies who inspire me on the regular.
